I'm getting a new laptop for work, and I was pretty much dialed in on the 9570 with the FHD display (non-touch). I'll be running Linux most of the time, but I might need to dual boot Win10 (or at least run it in a VM).Issue 1: It appears as if the 9570 can only be configured with the 53 Wh battery if I also want 32 GB ram and the 1 TB SSD, which is very strange. An otherwise identical machine with the UHD display (which I don't want) comes with the 97 Wh battery. I assume this can be sorted out somehow, but how long would the thing last under "normal" load with the small battery?Issue 2: All reported quality issues with the 9570 are a bit off putting. I am considering getting a 5530 instead, as it seems fairly similar but with better overall quality. The downside for me (price doesn't matter) is the Quadro GPU probably being a worse option for me than the 1050 the XPS ships with. I wanna do casual gaming but no video or photo editing. If the i9 9570 can run for 5-6 hours under normal load with the tiny battery that might be ok if I get lucky and don't run into any quality issues, but I don't know how realistic that is. If the 5530, despite having the P1 or P2 GPU is good enough for casual gaming perhaps that's a better option. Any thoughts to help me decide? via /r/Dell https://ift.tt/2FDxTBz
