[EVENT] Pacifism: In Pursuit of the Spirit. (Pt.1)

"Pacifism: In Pursuit of the Spirit." Is the second edition of writings, a sequel to the "Pacifism: The Japanese Way Moving Forward" series which was authored by various government, religious, or other officials. "Pacifism: In Pursuit of the Spirit", seeks to delve further into the details and future of the Union of Pacifists. This includes what programs and projects lay ahead, and how we plan to pursue the Spirit. This second edition, also posts a large number of new authors. Along with the return of some of the favorites of the last edition. The first and inaugural piece is titled "Judō-sei to sumai", and is authored by Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and Secretary of the Union of Pacifists Tunai Wang, a Brunei-born citizen of Japan. This piece seeks to expand on the Abode of Peace's role in the pursuit of Pacifism and the Spirit.

Judō-sei to sumai | Passivity and the Abode

"For a land known globally as the Abode of Peace, it is crucial we participate in the pursuit of the Essence. Therefore as the Sultan of Brunei along with the full support of the people of Brunei who now are members of the Union of Pacifists, we extend our Energy in good Spirit, towards uplifting ourselves." ~ Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.

The lands of Brunei, now a member of the Union of Pacifists, will be dedicating ourselves to showcasing the world true Harmony and Peace. This firstly begins with broadening our own horizons, using the Japanese investment funds we receive as members of the Union of Pacifists, and the Greater Pacifist Empire.

Firstly we would like to announce the inner workings and organization of the Union of Pacifists, and our relationship with Japan.

Let us make it clear now, the Union of Pacifists, and the "Pacifist Empire" as certain media elements have called it are indeed two separate pieces. The Pacifist Empire, which in reality is called the State of Japan. (In long form the "Eternal State of Japan" or "The Eternal State of Japan, an everlasting Pacifist Empire".) This we are a member of, as a semi-independent territory. In a sense, we can be viewed not as a prefecture, but as a "semi-independent province." We are a member by choice, and while polls prior have already proven that there is vast public opinion, we are sure that on-going media polls will continue to showcase our pursuit of the Spirit.

Secondarily is the Union of Pacifists, which is of course open to all nation states. We as a territory of the Pacifist State of Japan, technically are a non-member of the Union, thereby making Japan the only member. However due to our role in this world as the "Abode of Peace", I in agreement with the Emperor came to the conclusion it would be hypocritical not to allow the Abode of Peace a seat, therefore we are the Union's "Special Member".

The Abode of Peace, holds a special place in the pursuit of Spirit and Harmony. Many Japanese and Brunei philosophers believe that we may be one of the "Key Holds" to unlocking our "True Essence". Therefore our partnership with Japan is of the utmost importance to all people in Brunei.

This of course entails large scale investment into Brunei, in order to modernize and progress.

Therefore a number set to the tune of $20 Billion USD will be invested across the nation, focusing on bringing Brunei into the 21st century. This includes modernization of the electricity, gas, and water/sewage systems. It will also begin the project of ridding Brunei of slums and shanty villages.

Secondarily to this, travel restrictions between Japan/Brunei are going to be removed, and new ID cards (read Passports), will be distributed in the design of the Pacifist State of Japan.

Along with this, for a period of 1 year only, all travel by Brunei citizens to Japan and back will be paid for by the State of Japan. This is to encourage vacations to various resorts in Japan. As an effort to allow all to pursue the Spirit and Harmony, we will be removing Sharia law from Brunei, and will be removing any laws that run counter to laws in Japan.

All Brunei police forces will also receive training in Japan, and shall be treated the same as Japanese officers.

Finally, another set of $10 Billion USD will be provided to the widows, orphans, and less fortunate in Brunei in order to help them achieve their best.

~ Signed, Sultan of Brunei ~ Signed, Secretary of the Union of Pacifists ~ Signed, The People of Brunei
