CBD Flower Reviews! (Multiple Vendors & Strains)

Hi guys, I am new to reddit and to CBD Flowers in general. I started using them medicinally about 2 months ago. I have tried 4 companies so far and have made detailed reviews about certain strains that I have tried in the hopes to help someone who has questions. I know everyone's bodies are different, however some more detail into my experiences may help a new comer!

Quick back story, I was diagnosed with generalized panic disorder (GPD) 3 years ago and have since been on the SSRI Sertraline. The attacks happened as often as 4-8 times a day and were so bad that I couldn't even drive my car let alone leave my house. I found peace with sertraline as it got me back on track to living a normal life with much less anxiety. While I'm thankful for that, I am not a fan of pharmaceutical drugs. Also, I am a musician and I found that the sertraline is a hindrance to my writing process and creativity. I feel less emotional, less connected with my art and sort of numb to certain emotions. I would love to get away from pharmaceuticals with something natural which led me to trying CBD Hemp flower as high THC flowers exacerbate my panic attacks. So far, I am blown away by the results. I am still taking my meds, however, I plan to talk to my doctor about tapering down my dose slowly and seeing how I do with this natural substitute.

🌿 STRAIN RATINGS

This list is based on the effects that I experienced, the strength of the effects primarily in terms of relaxation, anti-anxiolytic effect, happiness/mood lifting, energy etc. Each strain was tested in various methods of smoking including joints, blunts, bowls, one hitters, and bongs. I do not own a dry herb vaporizer. I did this to achieve a true feel l for the flavor, and harshness or mellowness of each flower. I did some research on the lineage of these specific strains in case anyone wants to research the cross breeds.

#1 Elektra Buddha (PR) [Starseed Botanicals]

Lineage: AC/DC x ERB (Early Resin Berry)

For me, this strain is 100% for day time use. Smells like sour diesel with mild notes of mint. Super sticky and dense bud, flooded with trichomes. The photo's on SB's website are accurate to what you will receive. Bright lime green buds. This strain is energizing, happy feeling, bright, revitalizing, relaxing. Helped me elevate my mood while keeping a clear focused mind. Also, this strain was not harsh AT ALL. Funny enough, as we correlate smells and tastes with times in our past and this reminds me of some dank nugs I smoked with my father the first time we smoked together 13 years ago, great memories. The (PR) or Private Reserve buds from Starseed were exceptional. 10/10

#2 AC/DC [Fields Of Hemp]

Lineage: Cannatonic x Cannabis Ruderalis (Hemp)

Smells dank, peppery, and citrusy. Beautifully cured. Ample amounts of orange pistils with a nice darker green color and splashes of purple. For me, AC/DC was a very heavy strain. Very relaxing/sedating. Better for night time use. Day time made me slightly clouded and ready for a nap. Despite that, for me this is as medicinal as they come. I laid down in bed and felt a warm tingly feeling flood my entire body and before I knew it, I was asleep and I slept like a rock. I don't respond very well to strong sedative buds BUT if you are someone who could use the help with sleep, or restless leg syndrome, I'd say you should give her a shot. 9/10

#3 Special Sauce [Fields Of Hemp]

Lineage: Original Special Sauce x ERB

Off the bat, this flower was a bit harsh when smoked in a joint which was to be expected but was smooth in a bowl, bong, or one hitter. It’s got a nice scent to it. Earthy, somewhat floral and fruity. SS gives off awesome effects for night time. I did not get as much of a tingly feeling as I did with the AC/DC but I felt my whole body relax as if a weight was lifted. I felt calm and slept really well. I believe this is due to the high levels of Myrcene. I also recently learned this strain is high in the terpene Farnesene which is found in the rinds of citrus fruits which is known for it's anti spasmodic, anti inflammatory, and calming sedative effects. This strain, for me, is really good for anxiety too I can’t say enough about how good this made me feel. One of my favorites! 10/10

#4 Cherry Hemp [Monrow Farms]

Lineage: The Wife x Charlotte’s Cherries

The smell isn't overpowering like other strains but it has beautiful hints of ripe cherries and spice. It isn't as sticky or full of trichomes as other flower but this flower is extremely smooth in a joint, bong, bowl, etc. and has with a nice flavor that seems to coat the palate. I felt relaxed extremities and clear headedness. I also experienced an upbeat happy feeling and felt somewhat more aware. Beautiful day or night time strain. 9/10

#5 PineBerry [Fields Of Hemp]

Lineage: Ringo’s Gift x ERB

Smell is interesting, it’s a bit fruity, with mild notes of pine but I felt it had been lacking something... if that makes sense. Even after breaking the buds apart, I still felt that it wasn't very strong in the pungency department. The effects of this strain were lighter during the day depending on how much I consumed, but at night had me feeling super cozy. I really enjoyed this strain's effects at night but it was a tad harsh on the throat in all methods of smoking. 8/10

#6 Sour Space Candy (PR) [Starseed Botanicals]

Lineage: Sour Tsunami x ERB

Gorgeous buds with a phenomenal pungent and dank aroma of sour notes, hops, diesel, and tropical fruit. Super sticky and dripping with trichomes. I found myself taking deep sniffs in the baggy multiple times. This may be the best looking and best scented buds i've purchased yet. This strain had strong effects for me. Heavy eyelids, a noticeable relaxation in the legs (Which is great because I wait tables) with a very mild cerebral effect. At night, i felt very relaxed. The flavor is amazing, very smooth which is a plus! 10/10

#7 Lifter [Fields Of Hemp]

Lineage: Suver Haze #50 x ERB

The smell on these buds is rather light. It was sort of dry bud although it may have just been the batch I received. Other than that, the flavor is incredible. This tastes like some dispensary grade cannabis. It's got a diesel pungent taste. While it’s not my favorite strain, as I felt clouded and slightly anxious with use during the day, it is super calming and relaxing at night. Despite the anxiety I felt, I'd be willing to give this another shot down the line. 7/10

#8 Suver Haze [Starseed & Tokn]

Lineage: Suver #8 x ERB

Smell is average, pretty sticky buds but harsh on the throat from both companies. Aside from that, the effects were uplifting and relaxing. It could have been anything but I believe the one joint I smoked during the day had me feeling an actual uplifted high which wasn't expected but greatly enjoyed. The only thing holding me back from giving a higher rating is that the harshness kinda sucks and the flavor isn’t the best. Both companies were comparable in quality of flower. Despite the harshness, these flowers were sticky and cured very well. 6/10

If i had to choose at the moment I'd say Starseed is leading my list. I am planning to try Black Tie and Tweedle Farm's next as well as some different strains from the companies listed above. I hope this helps anyone else new to the community or to spark up some conversation! Does anyone recommend any other companies/strains to me? Thank you for reading!
