Help me build the most uplifting one-shot of all time Tl;dr: Help me by giving suggestions for a one-shot to pick up a friend in a hard place. So— here’s the dilemma, r/DnD. One of my closest, dearest friends has just received some very difficult personal health news. He’s understandably feeling very down. He’s one of my housemates, and we’ve played DnD together for years. He received the same diagnosis (faultily, he thought) earlier this year and took it similarly— he later told me that nothing cheered him up more than our weekly DnD game. Here we are again, and *I want to help him. * I’m accepting all submissions for the ultimate pick-me-up game of Dungeons and Dragons— a one-shot to be held this weekend with him and our two other housemates (who have really never played DnD). Please comment anything that you think could make this sad dude feel like a million bucks in-game: an uplifting story arc, a badass monster encounter, or some sort of amazing treasure to be unlocked in an afternoon of forgetting about a depressing reality.
