Uj/the modern guitar community have taken the fun out of guitar

I appreciate that this sub isn't the place for serious discussion but I have no idea where else to whinge about this so here we goCan you believe there was a point when guitar used to be cool? Now we have middle aged dudes who'll play their minor pentatonic licks on their fifth PRS, neckbeards who'll name their mayonnaise-stained Schecter 'Christina' and idiots who'll never practice and then ask those afformentioned middle ages dudes which overpriced pedals to buy to make themselves sound good.I saw a post earlier tonight from a guy who downplays how much he likes Rick and Morty because he doesn't want to be associated with the toxic fandom and that's exactly how I feel about guitar. Even though I love playing this instrument I'm reluctant to tell people I play guitar because I don't want to be associated with the guitar playing community. I've maybe just been exposed to r/Guitar too much but guitarists online at least have become like parodies of themselves now. Music mediocrity is apparently ok as long as you have enough money to throw at it.Ok this may have pissed some people off, mods feel free to remove if this type of post isn't allowed.Rj/ Katana = all, you, need, OK?
