My S.A. memoirs since 2006 (The launch of S.A)

2006 – 2007 – The site launched and pulled me away from MYREDBOOK and Eros. I think the membership was less than or right around $50. The average SB was well in her mid to late 20s. (S.A. launched 2 years after Backpages and 3 after Craigslist** depending on your city).2007-2008 – SBs were in high demand on the site (from my point of view). Most SBs (as I recall) were in tier 1 and 2 cities. Finding them in smaller markets were a challenge. I hate to say it but the smaller locations favored the Sugar Babies. Yes.. supply and demand working in the SB favor.2009 – 2010 – Don’t remember much other than the site still growing. All manner of SBs (next door types, dominatrix, shy girls) were joining and in demand (especially on the east coast – purely my observation).2010 + - I don’t remember exactly what year they started but S.A. began marketing HARD towards college women. Soon I noticed SBs profiles becoming younger and younger lured by the promise of free tuition. I swear I don’t recall seeing many SBs under 23 before their marketing began. Yes there were some but not in the numbers they are today.2011 - former New York U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner posted a photograph of sexual nature via his Twitter page. Six women would come to light admitting that they had engaged in sexually charged phone relationships with the married representative.[30] Sydney Elaine Leathers, one of the six women Weiner had extramarital contact with, admitted to meeting Weiner on the SeekingArrangement site. – More publicity – the average Joe was taking notice.2013 - Google executive Forrest Hayes was found dead on his yacht November 2013 by his captain. Surveillance footage from the yacht shows Alix Tichelman, a woman he met on SeekingArrangement.com. More publicity –2014ish - It’s all a blur. I would only use the site once in a while and turned my attention to Backpages and other sites. I think the “income” field or lifestyle expectations field was unrealistic (in my eyes).2015-2018 - I don’t remember much from these years. A few arrangements here and there with a lot of failed attempts with the college crowd.2018 - President Trump signed into law a set of controversial bills intended to make it easier to cut down on illegal sex trafficking online. Both bills — the House bill known as FOSTA, the Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act, and the Senate bill, SESTA, the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act.2018-2019 – S.A. freaks the fuck out and revamps their site. Life style expectations? Gone!!! Arrangement discussions (money) in messages? Banned! Talking about PPM?
